Quick USA Illuminates the MIBS Convention Center

A series of mergers and acquisitions with Nautic Boiler, Scotti, CATT and Sigmar Marine SRL over the last two decades, coupled with its most recent 2017 takeover of Item Mare business unit, has allowed Quick Spa to vastly expand its marine portfolio. Today, the Italian manufacturer headquartered in Ravenna, Italy, proudly supplies gyro stabilizers, thrusters water heaters, chargers, windlasses and illumination decor.

Directed by its American subsidiary Quick USA, a prime example “spotlighting” Quick Spa’s product line amplification was in the entrance corridor to the 2022 Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show. Highly sought-after items exhibited in booth MB306L included the new Quick Marine Lighting circular KLEOS 235 and Ondaled Top LED strips.

What’s more, as attendees entered the indoor portion of the revamped convention center, the placement of the booth was in a pivotal spot to further promote the new QSY Quick Synchronous Motor Thrusters. The successful, top of the line compact, air-cooled MC² Quick Gyro Stabilizers filling the front row garnered their own bit of interest.

KLEOS 235

You might not know the KLEOS 235 Quick 15W IP66 high-brightness spotlight by name, but you will certainly recognize it when turned on. The chic and stately LED light made of 3166 AISI polished stainless steel is one of the biggest and brightest lights on the market.

Due to the yield of the light flow and the development of the photometric curve, the KLEOS 235 suits the most demanding of needs…and is sure to please anyone on board who struggles to see in dimly lit settings.

Paolo Berni, managing director based out of Maryland says – The KLEOS 235 is the best option for providing lighting on large yachts. The new product is broadly used in Europe and gaining popularity among manufacturers such as Sunseeker and Princess. Seeing that it is water protected, it can be installed in the interior and exterior. The KLEOS 235 light is offered in natural or warm white and retails for €309 Euros ($350 US Dollars).

Ondaled Top Light Bars

Ondaled Top flexible light bars are revolutionizing luminosity on luxury yachts with their state-of-the-art design and zen-like allure. The innovative product, available in both a thin strip and wider strip, consists of a highly flexible polyurethane bar which irradiates through a resinated surface and permits curves up to a radius of 200 mm. The light source comes from a LED strip sealed inside the adaptable bar.

The Ondaled Top version bends diffusing the light in orthogonal right angles in relation to the application plane. Thanks to meticulous design methodology applications, perfectly uniform illumination has been achieved in regards to both color and light irradiation.

Lighting controls are via a small panel affixed to the dashboard helm making it effortless to rotate colors; while a majority of boat owners will always prefer classic white, it was spectacular to view the purple rotation during a demonstration by Berni.

QSY Quick Synchronous Motor Thrusters

Originally introduced in September at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition (IBEX), another 2022 highlight featured at the Miami exhibit was the QSY Quick Synchronous Motor Thruster with proportional controls.

Regional sales director, Jeff Spath explains – Rather than being externally located, the proportional control system is integrated into the motor housing. This reduces the current draw by 35 percent and lowers the noise level by another 30 percent. The continuous operational time reaching up to 10 minutes is one of the biggest advantages with the bow thruster. The probably for potential overheating is also completely eliminated due to using an aluminum cylinder and a driver integrated into the motor, which works to control the heat dissipation.

By midyear, once installations are complete and QSY Quick Synchronous Motor Thrusters are simplifying maneuvering routines in restricted area and mooring along narrow passages – there might just be a few more calm and composed captains around the world!
