R-Evolution 26: what Mar.Co’s new Rib will look like

There is a new entry in production at the well-known Muggiò-based boatyard: the R-Evolution 26. Where “Evolution” and “Revolution” are the marketing terms for the innovative features of this compact inflatable, which repliocates the lines of a successful range that has been well confirmed in the two previous models: the R-Evolution 35 e R-Evolution X-36, the latter equipped with a stern bracket that can also accommodate multiple combinations.
Mar.Co has announced that it will be ready to launch its new R-Evolution 26 on the Rib market by the end of November and expectations are very high.
The choice of the shipyard based in Muggiò, in Brianza, was to make this new inflatable boat “more compact”, without betraying the feeling and attitude of a range that has been appreciated over the last two years and that appeals to owners looking for boats that are often easy to trailer, with the advantage of hassle-free management in the marina.
In addition to the renderings of the R-evolution 26, Mar.Co has also released a video that gives a good idea of the philosophy and design of its new boat, which is capable of expressing great character right from the start, even before you see it in the water.

The R-Evolution 26, whose price has not been revealed yet, will be 8.02 metres long and 3.06 metres wide. She has been designed for a single outboard installation, with a maximum power output of 450 hp and boasts an impressive 330-litre fuel tank.

R-Evolution 26: sporty design

The design is by Federico Gerna, whose pencil has produced a gutsy, sporty craft that meets all the marine requirements that cannot be ignored. One of these is the composite foredeck counter-moulding, which effectively consolidates the structure, increasing seaworthiness even in rough seas and sailing comfort.
As far as ease of transport is concerned, the R-evolution 26 is unrivalled, thanks to its 1,600 kg dry weight and composite gunwales that can be closed when the Rib is deflated, always with a view to simplifying boat management.
Turning to the layout, the R-evolution 26 offers deck space designed for comfortable sailing, as demonstrated by the aft seats with backrests and nearby steel handrails, which make all the difference at top speeds. The cockpit seating also surrounds the table when positioned in dinette mode. In the middle of the boat, the seating in the helm station accommodates two people looking in a large space, where the on-board electronics can be housed, even opting for large displays. But there’s one detail to focus on, though, and that’s the fact that there’s a very useful toilet compartment under the console. The bow and aft area also feature the ever-present sundeck.
In the stern, the platforms also provide the necessary space for manoeuvring, accessing the engine, and embarking and disembarking passengers. In addition to this, there is a wide range of choices offered by the boatyard for customizing the R-evolution 26, including a T-top or roll-bar.
