The first novelty that Ranieri International will present at Cannes Yachting Festival 2018 is a “big” boat in every way. With a length of 12 meters, the Cayman 38.0 Executive is the new flagship of the Cayman range, the family of RIBs offered by the Soverado-based boat manufacturer.
Thanks to a hull length of less than 12 meters, navigating license is not required and this maxi RIB is therefore perfect for all those who don’t like bureaucracy.
On board, comfort is guaranteed by a width of almost 4 meters which has allowed the yard to create a large C-shaped convertible sofa in the stern.
The Cayman 38.0 Executive preserves the sporty dynamic design that is the hallmark of the sport touring line. The layout is based on a center console, flanked by two symmetric passages which lead to the bow. The pilot station features three anatomic seats and a stand-up system, ideal to find your best driving position at the helm. The coachroof is overlooked by a rigid hard top made of stainless steel and fiberglass that can be also equipped with a convenient electric bimini.
The dinette is wide and furnished with sofas and a pop-up electrically-operated table that can seat up to 6-7 passengers or convert the area into a spacious sun pad. A powerful audio system with forward loudspeakers spreads the sound uniformly throughout the boat for funny days at sea.
The whole boat flooring is made of Seadeck, an American synthetic non-slip teak that makes the boat elegant while facilitating maintenance and cleaning.
The astern boarding platform, made of varnished aluminium, accommodates two or three outboards, from 600 to 1,200 horsepower ( 3 x 400hp engines).
In order to obtain the best in terms of performances and stability, the yard has equipped the Cayman 38.0 with a double-stepped HIS hull. Offered as a part of standard equipment, the innovative Acitve-Suspension-System improves comfort at sea.
65 cm wide, Hypalon-neoprene tubes ( 1,670 dtex) are divided into eight compartments and provide the boat with great stability and safety.
The main strength of the Cayman 38.0 is the presence of two double cabins that can accommodate 4 passengers at night.
Almost a copy of the Next 240, the 220 SH is 7.35 meters long and 3.50 meters wide.
Thanks to the astern convertible cockpit, the dinner zone is ample and comfortable and can seat up to 6 guests. This is an undeniable advantage for a motorboat of this size. The bow is entirely dedicated to relaxation and sunbathing time thanks to its large sun pad.
Below deck, the smallest member of the SH family sets a record: it’s the first boat under 8 meters to have three beds in two separate environments. Indeed, the boat offers a double bed in the bow, which can turn into a dinette, and a third single bed on the topside; the owner can even choose to have a marine toilet (manual or electric) in the middle of the cabin.
Propulsion can be single or double with a power of up to 250 horsepower. It is interesting to note that, being a lightweight boat, a very powerful engine is not required. For example, the 115hp model recommended by the yard can be efficient enough in terms of consumption and costs. The difference with the most powerful engine option can reach € 10,000.
The possibility to have two engines makes this walkaround easy to steer, which is an undeniable advantage for a category of boats that is usually associated with narrow berths.
Cannes Yachting Festival will also mark the official debut in water of the Next 240 SH that we already visited (out of water) at Paris Boat Show.
The Next 240 is a 7.80-meter boat characterized by a large modular area in the stern: the cockpit turns into a wide dinner zone thanks to a sofa situated just next to the transom and two folding seats, offering a table which can can seat 7 guests in total comfort.
Interior layout includes a large forward double bed – which can turn into a dinette with counter-posed sofas – and a third single bed on the side. Finally, a large compartment accommodates a marine toilet – manual or electric. Instead of the third bed, the owner can opt for a separated toilet with water closet and washbasin.
Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy a special version equipped with a large uncluttered cockpit where they can walk and move with no obstacles. The transom can accommodate one or two engines. The most powerful engine option is 300 horsepower.
Ranieri International was born in late ’60s thanks to the passion that Pietro Ranieri had for motors. In the ’70s, Pietro started to build his first fishing and power boats where he could apply all his mechanical knowledge.
Today, the shipyard offers 44 models of fiberglass boats and about ten models of RIBs. Run by Pietro’s sons, Antonio and Salvatore, the company has about 50 employees.
