Gerard Dykstra is known as the man of J-Class, the most beautiful sailing boats which have made the yachting and American Cup’s history. He is the designer of most of refitting and restoration projects on this kind of boats and of almost all J-Class copies.
Dykstra Naval Architects has been dedicating itself to sailing boats, yachts and superyachts for over 40 years but what we show to you today are the renderings of a new concept for a 35-metre-long motor superyacht called Rapsody R110.
The elegance of its clear, a little vintage lines confirms the origin from this Dutch studio. R110 will be 35 metres long, with a strong powerful aluminium hull which will reach a maximum speed of over 32 knots.
Absolutely “cool” the racing car garage on the fore deck. The double opening is flush and it doesn’t disturb the flush deck plane. The garage is equipped with an opposing crane which “parks” your car once you have arrived on the dock.
The cockpit is huge and provided with an astern jacuzzi and sunbathing platform, two coffee bars and two living zones with some large guest sofas. Central stepladders lead to the flybridge which seems to disappear in the superstructure. A tender and water toy garage is located on the poop.
Inside, on the main deck, there is a living zone, a sky lounge with a 180-degree-view, while, on the lower deck, there are a shipowner’s cabin and two guest ones. The crew can stay in a specific astern zone (up to 4 people).
