NEW RAYMARINE M100- M200 CAMERAS AND AXIOM MFD

MIAMI. RAYMARINE PRESENTS NEW M100 – M200 THERMAL CAMERAS AND AXIOM MULTIFUNCTION DISPLAYS

The flood of new products proposed by Raymarine to improve safety and enjoyment in recreational boating, fishing and professional sailing experiences doesn’t stop.

At the Miami International Boat Show we saw the launch of three products which will certainly shake the market up: the new Flir M100 and Flir M200 thermal cameras and, above all, the new family of Axiom multifunction displays.

The Flir M100 thermal camera

The Flir M100 and  M200 cameras complete the already rich range of thermal cameras compatible with Raymarine integrated systems; in particular, they represent a slightly simpler and more affordable version of the existing Flir M400 cameras.

The pictures created by these sensors are based on the heat released by objects or people and not on the light amplification. With a 320x 240 microbolometer resolution, the M100 and the M200 cameras allows to “see” any obstacle in any light condition and total darkness. Eventual buoys, boats and floating obstacles are detected and displayed grayscale on Raymarine multifunction displays.

Both the M100 and the M200 cameras allow to sail safely especially in case of hard weather conditions and they are more efficient than any other detecting system. The two cameras have a visual field ranging from 24 and 18 degrees according to the digital zoom you use (max 2x). Their consumption varies between 15 and 18 W.

Thanks to their adjustable tilt, these cameras can be pointed to any direction.

But the meaty bit among Raymarine novelties is undoubtedly represented by the new family of Axiom multifunction displays, awarded as the most innovative product at the Miami Boat Show.

“Something certain”: in other word, an axiom. The new displays really risk to become a milestone in the concept of perception and awareness of the surrounding environment through instruments. Aesthetically flawless, their glass touch screens are available in 7-, 9-, and 12-inch display sizes.

But the real innovation lies in the heart of the new integrated systems, where Raymarine engineers made a real difference.

A fast quad-core CPU, combined with new LigthHouse 3 operating system, ensures a computing power which was previously unconceivable, together with an user-friendly on-board systems management.

The screen can open different windows simultaneously showing data, real-time settings, maps, radar, sonar, thermal cameras. Moreover, users can manage the on-board audio system or the autopilot: everything works fluently, including background operations.

Wi-Fi standard and Bluetooth connectivity allows an easy connection to all Raymarine applications for tablets and smartphones, such as Sonar Real Vision 3D for amazing fish and bottom images.

RealVision 3D Sonar represents the ability to see what’s below, behind, and to the sides of the boat, all at once and in three-dimensions.
