Rio Yachts Rio 40
If you’re looking for an authentic open boat, Rio 40 is the right option for you. Among the evergreen used boats, this Rio Yachts model is always one of the most requested on the market.
It’s an exciting, modern, innovative day and night cruiser with a typically Mediterranean charm.
Agile and comfortable, this 12-meter registration-free boat fully embodies the philosophy of the Italian shipyard, famous for the production of quality and niche sports boats.
Indeed, the Rio 40 recalls the automotive segment of two-seater, sporty, cheerful cars which allow to enjoy the warm season with the wind in your hair: the same soul of the Rio 40, an authentic emblem of Made in Italy.
Exteriors
The sleek and sturdy lines are definitively uninhibited but also extremely elegant. The bow, high and pronounced, makes the appeal of this speed-oriented spider even more aggressive, offering abundant headroom below deck.
The deckhouse follows the dynamic shape of the bow. The “full-space” cockpit is huge and includes two large sundecks and a small outdoor galley with stoves and refrigerator. The stern accommodates a teak beach area which offers a definitively spacious bathing zone accessible through two comfortable central steps.
Neither the cockpit nor the helm station, located in the middle, are protected by a hard top, but by a removable awning.
Wide and protected by a solid handaril, the side-decks lead to the mega solarium on the bow, a real terrace overlooking the sea.
Interiors
Below deck, the spaces are equally stunning. The interior environment is particularly bright, thanks to the lateral portholes, and refined. Design is simple but extremely comfortable: functionality, in fact, is one of the key ingredients of all Rio yachts.
Really welcoming is the lounge dinette, with a L-shaped sofa on the starboard side and a galley with sink, stoves and refrigerator on the port side.
The dinette gives access to both the stern twin-bedded guest cabin and the bow master cabin, equipped with a king-sized bed and a large storage compartment under the mattress.
Both cabins offer extraordinarily generous headroom, thanks to the very raised deck from stern to bow and an imposing topside. There are also two heads, which make life on board even more comfortable.
Rio Yachts Rio 40: propulsion
The engine option most commonly installed on the Rio 40 is represented by twin Volvo Penta 300 HP sterndrive engines. Of course, the overall boat value depends on the number of engine hours.
