Navaltecnosud chose the Metstrade Amsterdam as a showcase to introduce a great new product. It is the revolutionary SET sailboat cradle, a transportable cradle with motorized trailers equipped with forks and sleepers that allow the boat and cradle to be lifted together. This is an ideal innovation for optimizing space in boatyards and keeping boats safe, which aroused great interest among visitors at the Dutch event.
The SET sailboat cradle in detail
Navaltecnosud SET sailboat cradle comes in various width and length combinations, depending on the inside of the wheels of the truck . The load capacities, dimensions and number of stands are completely customizable according to the shipyard’s specific requirements: customization, in fact, is one of the main strengths behind the huge Navaltecnosud’s success over competitors.
“50% of our turnover comes from custom production, which means we do a lot of research and design work on custom items – confirms Roberto Spadavecchia, owner of Navaltecnosud – We have retained this feature also with the SET sailboat cradle, which can be made respecting all customer requirements”.
The SET sailboat cradle is offered in six standard models. They range from 10 to 70 tonnes of boat weight, from 1800 to 2500 in width and from 4000 to 9000 in lenght. All are CE certified, which is another of Navaltecnosud’s strengths: “Our high level of quality is demonstrated by rigorous certifications of both the company and the individual products – explains Mr. Spadavecchia – and this encourages sales especially abroad”.
The stands that make up Navaltecnosud’s sailboat cradles range from four to ten, with adjustable tilt, extendable telescope, cap with ball head and adjustment screw.
Navaltecnosud: conquering the world
The SET sailboat cradle met with a positive response from the visitors at Metstrade, held from November 15 to 17. Navaltecnosud thus confirms its leadership in the shipbuilding sector: the Italian company is in fact today one of the most important players in the production and marketing of cradles, racks, bar spreader beams, heels, fixed and transportable cradles with motorised trailers, towed trolleys and boat racks. These items are exported and successfully marketed all over the world, as Roberto Spadavecchia, owner of Navaltecnosud, told us in a recent interview. This is also made possible by the extensive presence at boat shows around the globe and the excellent quality-price ratio of the products.
In this growth phase, after having conquered the best shipyards throughout Europe, Navaltecnosud is looking with great interest at the US and Middle East markets. In particular, the company is aiming to grow further in the superyacht segment, both sail and motor, without neglecting its activity in the production of items for the small boats with which it started its business, i.e. trailers, small cradles and, above all, racks, which make it possible to exploit the height of space inside shipyards and boat storage facilities.
