Scanner entrusts the sales and service concession for Sardinia to Continental Marine
Scanner Marine is strengthening its presence in Sardinia by entrusting
The well-known Piedmontese brand, specialized in the construction of inflatable boats and Maxi Ribs, has signed an agreement with Ugo Soldi, owner of Continental Marine, the Sardinian shipyard dedicated to the storage of motor and sailing boats.
A reference point for the service and overhaul of inboard and outboard engines for 30 years, Continental Marine is based in Aglientu (in the province of Sassari) and offers a covered surface of 1,200 square meters and an outdoor one of 2,000, where qualified professionals provide customers with a 360-degree high-quality service: from resin works to the installation of electrical systems, from the assembly of on-board instruments to the installation of stabilisers, bow and stern thrusters, hydraulic gangways, windlasses, electric winches, water makers, generators, and, of course, all engine maintenance.
In short, we are talking about an all-round and highly competent shipyard which, not surprisingly, is the trusted shipyard of our publishing group – The International Yachting Media – which, for five years now, has been commissioning Continental Marine to “put its hand” (the only one authorized to do that) on the Daydreamer, our lab-boat – which is preparing for the “ 1,000 miles in the Tyrrhenian Sea” cruise and, precisely for this reason, is currently ” under the knife” of the excellent Umberto Soldi, who will polish her up for our long summer voyage.
However, Continental Marine is not just a shipyard but also a sales and service dealer for many brands: Rio Yachts, famous for its all-Italian open and coupe yachts, Honda engines, Polyform, specialized in fishing boats up to 30 feet, and Scout Boats, an American fisherman manufacturer.
Added to these is Scanner Marine which, since 1989, has been manufacturing sporty inflatable boats, famous all over the world for their unmistakable design and excellent hull performance, custom-made with high quality materials. Scanner, which will present the new and highly anticipated Envy 1200 at the next autumn shows, has therefore chosen Continental Marine to strengthen its sales network in Sardinia.
” We are very pleased to be working with Continental Marine – says Fabio Montemitro, owner of Scanner Marine – They were looking for a high-end inflatable boat brand, while we were looking for a sales point in northern Sardinia, an area a little uncovered for us. The two needs matched, so we decided to start this cooperation which, we are sure, will be bring positive results. Having an after-sales support on site is fundamental for us and, in this, Continental Marine has proved to be absolutely reliable over the years”.
” In addition to being luxury and cutting-edge boats, Scanner Marine Maxi Ribs are completely different from others and we at Continental Marine are really happy and honoured to represent them – explains Ugo Soldi – Their collection from 7 to 14 meters satisfies a wide range of owners and this is certainly one of Scanner’s main strengths. What we can promise is nothing more than what we have always done until now: to offer the best possible assistance to our clients”.

I like how you mentioned that it is important to strengthen the presence. My uncle mentioned to me last night that he is hoping to find a reliable service that can repair used motors and asked me if I have any idea what is the best option to do. Thanks to this informative article and I'll be sure to tell him that he can consult a marine service as they can answer all his inquiries.
