Starting from the stern, we immediately notice an enlarged surface console that welcomes guests on board in a very spacious area, making it comfortable, secure, and central for sea life. Following this is the sundeck, integrated into the walk-around design, housing the first of the two large opposing sofas that characterize the central area of the new SCANNER ENVY 1500.
It’s easy to imagine how this convivial area, thanks to the foldable table and the indispensable extendable awning, could easily become the focal point of onboard life when the maxi-rib is at anchor.
The SCANNER ENVY 1500’s forward sofa is housed in a unit that, along with the dining area positioned at the base of the Hard-Top, can accommodate large storage volumes, refrigerators, and cooking plates. This solution greatly facilitates the management of drinks on board, creating additional support surfaces.
The cockpit of the SCANNER ENVY 1500 is true to the shipyard’s classic configuration, with three forward-facing sofas and the helm station positioned to starboard, while to port, there is access to the sleeping area.
Moving forward, the descent of the Hard-Top is utilized to host a porthole, the second large sunbathing area, and a flush teak surface that gives this boat unparalleled elegance.
As for the interior of the SCANNER ENVY 1500, little has been revealed so far. However, we can tell you that it will house two double cabins and a head with a separate shower.
Propulsion and performance
With a maximum applicable power of an impressive 2,400 horsepower, the new SCANNER ENVY 1500 promises immediately intriguing performance. Given the renowned hull characteristics of these boats, speeds of 40/45 knots will certainly be within reach even with lower powers. Not surprisingly, Scanner Marine offers both inboard, gasoline, and diesel engine options as well as outboard options for this boat.
Therefore, we’ll have the opportunity to admire this magnificent maxi-rib either with four Mercury 600 or with the (beautiful) uncluttered stern and a more traditional propulsion system. In any case, I can’t wait to get my hands on it, and how about you?
