Scanner Marine’s boat show will be held in Varazze

Scanner Marine will exhibit four boats at Marina di Varazze throughout the month of September

Fabio Montemitro

While the Cannes Yachting Festival has been cancelled (click here to read about the news) and there is much uncertainty about the feasibility of other autumn boat shows, starting with the Genoa one (currently confirmed), the boating industry does not stop and Scanner Marine is proof of that.

In order to overcome the forced inpossibility to join the French event, the Italian shipyard wull exhibit its Maxi Rib fleet at Marina di Varazze, from the first weekend of September until the end of the month. A last-minute decision, yet planned much time before the official cancellation of the French boat show.

In such an uncertain time, we absolutely had to be prepared. That’s why we had carefully prepared a B plan to be implemented in the event the Cannes Yachting Festival was cancelled – Scanner Marine owner Fabio Montemitro explains – Marina di Varazze, from which our boats would have cast off to get the French Riviera, is the perfect place to present our flagship models in total safety”.

Owners and potential customers will therefore have the possibility to discover four Scanner Marine-branded boats: the Envy 1400 HT Outboard, powered by three Mercury Racing 450R outboards ( above left, the the version with three Yamaha 425 V8 XTO Offshore engines), the Envy 770 Outboard (above right) with Suzuki 350HP propulsion (these two Ribs would have been exhibited in Cannes), the Envy 1400 Inboard (below left) with Volvo 400HP diesel propulsion and the Envy 860 Inboard Wooden Limited Edition (below right).

The boats will be available for sea trials: visitors can contact the shipyard and make an appointment (Scanner Marine website and contacts are indicated in the footer) and book the sea trial of the boat they prefer. Moreover, every weekend, Scanner Marine’s staff will organize some entertainment events, including presentations and cocktails, in order to make the event even more pleasant and involving, in full respect of health protocols.

We sincerely hope that this September, during which we will put our boats on display at Marina di Varazze as an alternative to Cannes Yachtign Festival, represents the antechamber to the Genoa Boat Show“, states Montemitro. In all probability, in fact, Scanner Marine will join the Italian boat show, the largest one of the Mediterranean, with world premiere of the DeepSpeed-powered Envy 710, the first electric hydro-jet outboard. A highly anticipated premiere, Covid permitting.
