BRP launches Sea Doo Fish Pro, the new watercraft designed for fishing

Sea Doo Fish Pro : enjoy fishing from a watercraft

From today on, all the European anglers who want to enjoy their fishing adventures in the open sea will not be forced to choose a real boat any more. BRP has recently launched, on the occasion of the boat shows in the old continent, a watercraft perfectly designed for offshore fishing: the Sea Doo Fish Pro 155.

First of all, it should be pointed out that, even if a watercraft cannot handle rough sea conditions, two interesting benefits are, however, possible. The first one lies in the fact that, thanks to minimum draft, anglers can enjoy full access to fishing spots that are usually inaccessible via boat. The second one is that the watercraft can be towed easily during our journeys thanks to an encumbrance ( 3.73 m x 1.26 m)/weight ( 270 kg) ratio that is certainly lower than a conventional boat’s one.

Moreover, as we will see, when all fishing equipment is removed, Sea Doo Fish Pro 155 has all the potential necessary to be considered as a “simple” watercraft.

Now, let’s see together the details that make Fish Pro a trusty fishing companion. They have positively impressed us as the definitively young appealing design has amazed us.

Fish Pro is a stable watercraft even when at rest thanks to the special ST3 hull that, combined with Trolling Mode system ( a multi-mode speed automatic control system useful when sailing under 10 knots), is a key element to catch preys in total comfort.

Fish will be easily found and caught, without never losing track, because Fish Pro is equipped with Garmin Echomap Plus 62CV Fish Finder system (transducer is integrated into the hull), whose 6-inch display is positioned on the right side of the dashboard. Easy-to-control, it is a really genial accessory for a watercraft.

The question arises: how can anglers fight fish on board what is not exactly a flat platform? In addition to the above-mentioned hull stability, Fish Pro’s designers have created a special bench seat with angled foot supports for increased comfort and stability and an additional aft extension of about 30 cm (where to accommodate an additional tank).

In the event of man overboard, there’s no problem. A retractable step has been installed below the edge of the stern, specially designed to provide a valid support where to hold on and a comfortable platform to board from the water easily.

For the time being, we haven’t tested Fish Pro yet since we have only seen it at a boat show; however, we can assume that all these details are really useful when fishing.

When fish will be finally on board, it can be put into LinkQ, a detachable thermal container with a capacity of 51 liters. This box is also equipped with an exterior compartment where to place fishing equipment and a fishing rod holder.

Power comes from a sporty Rotax 1503 NA 155HP engine. As we have already mentioned above, this characteristic makes Fish Pro a perfect watercraft not only for fishing activities but also for a funny recreational use in company thanks to a passenger capacity of 3 people.

The watercraft is offered for sale at a base price of EUR 16,500, with the all the main fishing gadgets included.
