SELVA 6.7 ELEGANCE. SEA TRIAL

Leggi l’articolo in italiano

A pure Mediterranean daycruiser, this open boat (less than 7 metres long) is the  flagship of Selva Elegance Series (made by Saver). The central console is a completely free island (the lateral passage is 41 cm), the most functional among the solutions available on boats of this size and, under it, it hides a space sufficient to a chemical wc (optional) or, better, a big technical locker (here height reaches 124 cm).

Both the fore and astern sofa can be converted in two sunbathing platforms for two people, while in the cockpit a small lunch table can be assembled ( a little longer operation). Under the driving seat, there are a small dinette, a sink and a fire. The boat has good equipments: first of all, the standard hydraulic steering system. The dashboard, conceived for two pilots (about 180 cm tall), is very ergonomic and the stainless handrail isn’t obtrusive.

We tested this boat with the maximum applicable power, 150 HP, and Selva XSR. Her strength is immediately evident: less than 4” to start to surf ( gradually, without nosing up annoyingly) and, at full speed, you can reach 37 knots with no problems.

The best performance, however, is at lower speed: at 3,500 revolutions and 23 knots consumption is less than one litre a mile. If you are in a hurry, fast cruising speed is about 30 knots.
