The C3X and C48 – the two new, fascinating powerboats that Sessa Marine designed with great attention to comfort and spaciousness – made their debut at the Venice Boat Show, For the C3X it was an absolute premiere, since it is a model launched just a few months ago (and which YachtingNews has already tested for the first time), while the C48 was already built last year, but the Venetian event was nonetheless the first opportunity to present it to the public.
Sessa Marine C3X, eleven metres that seem so much more
The C3X, designed on the basis of the C35, is immediately striking for its skilful use of space. The Italian boatyard has exploited every single square centimetre available to guarantee considerable comfort on board this 11.33 metre hull, starting with the large master cabin in the bow, separated by a door from the dinette inside, which can also be stripped of the table to accommodate a larger sofa and thus have another berth to add to the second aft cabin. Below deck, where there is also clever communicating head located in the middle of the hull, the spaces are really generous and give the idea of being on board a much larger boat.
Another virtue of the C3X is its versatility: there are three models available depending on the owner’s needs (Open, Hard Top and T-Top), two bridge configurations (larger and intact or smaller to accommodate the outboard engine, to satisfy the French market), and a very comfortable chaise longue to the left of the cockpit, with a fold-down cushion for a more sheltered sunpad compared to the huge one in the bow. Again, the cockpit is covered by a large sliding roof that can be opened if necessary to ventilate the space or closed for more shade. Last but not least, the C3X’s equipment is rounded off with an external dinette and Raymarine technology as standard.
Sessa Marine C48, the comfort of large spaces on board
Much larger, and of a completely different positioning, is the other model presented to the public for the first time by Sessa Marine, namely the C48. In this case we are talking about a 15.72 metre hull, which therefore, compared to its smaller sister, can offer a few more comforts, such as the double helm chair or the very elegant chaise longue located to its left, with a cushion into which, as if by magic, a large pull-out television can be inserted. Compared to the C3X, however, there is less scope for customization, since this model is only available in the Hard Top version.
In the very spacious cockpit, behind the cockpit there are a dinette and a long L-shaped sofa with table for comfortable meals in company, while under the hydraulic platform is a large garage for storing equipment and water toys. Below deck, however, the sleeping zone consists of two luxurious cabins – each with its own head – and a second interior dinette. Very special is the double bed in the master cabin in the bow, which with a practical sliding system can be divided into two single beds. The sundecks, one in the bow and the other in the stern, are enormous.
