PIRELLI speedboats made their debut in the US market with the American premiere of the world-famous PIRELLI 35 and PIRELLI 50 on display at the recently concluded Miami International Boat Show.
Present in the American market for some years with the Sacs brand, Sacs Tecnorib has now landed in the USA with the PIRELLI brand and the RIBs under its license.
After its debut at last autumn’s FLIBS, where it exhibited its 42-foot walkaround for the first time in America, PIRELLI is now back with the presentation in Miami of two models, both with outboard propulsion that perfectly meet the needs of American owners: power, safety, and sporty lines.
The success of these inflatable boats is given not only by their design, comfort and performance features, but also by the popularity of the PIRELLI brand in North America, which is rapidly growing thanks to its involvement in motorsport.
The decision to exhibit in Miami was also dictated by the impact on boating that this show has had for several years now: over 100 thousand visitors from all over the world, more than a thousand yards and boats on display at each edition.
Precisely because of this reputation, the MIBS is the perfect scenario to introduce the American continent to the walkaround speedboats that are closest to their tastes: the PIRELLI 50 is the flagship of this line, with an aggressive and racing spirit that then characterizes the entire fleet with the PIRELLI 42, 35 and 30. The latter, which is also the smallest model in the fleet, was presented a few weeks ago at the Boot in Düsseldorf and best expresses dynamism and adrenalin at sea.
The PIRELLI 50 is perfect as a superyacht chase boat but also as a mid-range day cruiser. At 15 metres long, it is practical, sporty, and can be powered in two different versions: inboard or outboard, the latter being certainly the most suitable for the American market. On display at MIBS with three powerful 600hp Mercury engines, the boat is gaining much admiration from visitors and owners alike. This engine option guarantees planing in excess of 50 knots.
The PIRELLI 50 is a right balance between speed, safety and comfort: the taut lines of the tubulars and clean-cut lines of the deckhouse make this model an attractive, sporty design that is softened, however, by the sinuous shapes of the hard top. Comfort also plays a leading role in this 50-foot maxi rib, firstly with the various relaxation and sunbathing areas outside and then thanks to the two double cabins inside.
The PIRELLI 35, a slightly smaller evolution of the PIRELLI 42, is a combination of comfort and performance. Thanks to the walkaround conformation, practicality and freedom of movement on board are dominant not only outside, thanks to the relaxation and sunbathing areas, but also inside thanks to the large full-beam bed.
The model exhibited in Miami is equipped with two brand-new Mercury V10 400HP engines, the performance will provide adrenaline and fun for the most passionate owners.
The entire fleet of PIRELLI speedboats has been designed by Ted Mannerfelt, head of the Mannerfelt Design Team studio, who has radically changed the world of maxi rims by improving style and life on board. All models also feature the tread pattern of the CINTURATO™ Blue Full Wet, the wet weather tyre used in the top motorsport competitions in which Pirelli is present.
