Incredible success at the 63rd Genoa International Boat Show for Eolo 9, the Sicilian Shipyard’s new flagship, which surprised thousands of visitors attending the show and to which a special event was dedicated for visits and sea trials in Liguria.
The shipyard has been taking part in the Genoa International Boat Show for many years, but this edition was a special one, as Salvatore Bisignano, owner of the AS MARINE brand and Italy sales manager, tells us. “The visitors who visited us during the Show were all very interested, especially in the new 9-metre model we presented, which is already proving very successful. The Eolo 9 is a completely new design that somewhat reflects our family line and we are proud to have produced this flagship which, as many customers have noticed, puts comfort and quality first. All the people who have seen or tested it have been very satisfied with the space, finish and seaworthiness, and this gives us hope for the future.”
A few days after the end of the Show, Eolo will be present at Savona’s dockyard for “Un onda in darsena” (A wave in the dockyard), an event that will take place on Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October, and will be dedicated to sea enthusiasts and all those interested.
During the two-day event it will be possible to admire up close (and in the water) the Shipyard’s new flagship, available for sea trials from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., thanks to Motormarine Savona, dealer of the Eolo and Honda brands.
The unit that will be on display is powered by two Honda outboards of 250 hp each, the ideal engine option to ensure snappy but safe performance without compromising comfort on board.
Stability, manoeuvrability and comfort are the 3 key features of the new Eolo 9. A spacious and airy family and day cruiser, it also hides a roaring soul that allows you to have fun in complete safety.
In terms of comfort, the yard’s new flagship focuses first and foremost on an important beam: 2.99 metres, which considering the overall length of 9.20 metres, is truly remarkable. This allows the boat to have more stability but also much more space to move around freely on board.
The stern area features a large sunbathing island that can also turn into a sofa while underway. A large central table dominates the cockpit and a number of folding seats make it possible to enjoy meals on board in company. Then, forward, is another large full-beam sunbathing area.
Before entering the cabin on the port side we find an outdoor galley equipped with a sink and cooker, while on the starboard side the helm station houses two nice seats and a wraparound windscreen that provides protection from the wind.
Going below deck we find no less than four berths, two in the bow and two in the stern with separate bathrooms. The spaces, headroom and feel of these interiors are amazing, what is surprising is the truly ample space available. The finishes and materials used make all the difference: considering that it is a daily cruiser designed primarily for families, one would not expect the interiors that usually characterize much larger yachts, which instead are present on the Eolo 9.
On the occasion of the event at the Savona dock we will test Eolo 9 in a complete and in-depth manner. The boatyard will then be present at the next Barcelona International Boat Show scheduled for October, in Malta with the two brands now together (Eolo and AS Marine), and then it will be in Düsseldorf at the end of January 2024.
