Last Saturday, Perini Navi launched its latest creation in La Spezia: Dahlak, a 38-metre-long sloop entirely built in Sealium aluminium alloy.
Dahlak’s exteriors ( the name is the same as the archipelago in the Red Sea where the shipowner sailed in the past) have been designed by Philippe Briand, while construction was made by Picchiotti in La Spezia. The shipowner wanted to built a fast and easy-to-drive boat, totally conceived as a family boat but good to sail around the world: so, a good, comfortable and performing boat.
As regards interiors, designed by Perini, there is no picture yet: we only know that they can host 8 guests in three cabins. The shipowner’s cabin will occupy the entire beam’s length.
After the launch, presided by Perini Navi’s managers and employees, now it is the turn of sea trials and tests in order to perfect any detail before the official delivery to the shipowner, who is already very satisfied:
” Dalhak is a dream which becomes true; for us, it is a perfect combination of sportmanship, speed, beauty and comfort, all we desire on the boat we’ll use to sail around the world!”.
