TOFINOU 10, THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA

Leggi l’articolo in italiano

The name is always the same, which means that there is a continuity between old and new Tofinou but the acquisition of the French yard Latitude 46 by Wauquiez and the production of the first model mark the beginning of a new concept: that one of a boat designed for longer coastal cruises and provided with more confortable interiors.

Since the first model, Tofinou 7, which decreed the success of Latitude 46, all the boats of the Franch yard had emerged as very elegant boats but suitable only for daily trips. With Tofinou 10, and her length of 10 metres, an astern cabin has appeared for the first time, conceived for all those who want to enjoy longer trips and maybe a night in a roadstead.

For the rest, the boat maintains most of her main features: elegance, speed and manoevrability.

Some innovations have been introduced by the historic designer Michel Joubert, who signed all the projects of the yard, including the last one produced just before his death. If the general lines make the boat unique in her classic-modern style interaction, the free board is slightly higher and the deckhouse more jutting.

We accepted the requests of all the shipowners who were looking for the typical speed and elegance of Tofinou boats but by offering a greater comfort” – explains Christian Iscovici, CEO of the brand. “With Tofinou 10, without disrupting the traditional classic lines of our production, we managed to add a rear cabin and a toilette and create an height of 1.70 m in the cabin”.

For the rest, the boat offers a small kitchen and a fore triangle with a second bed.

External lines are classic with a good free surface behind the helmsman.

The standard version has a fixed keel but a lifting or double keel is on demand.

The first model which renderings refer to has already been sold and it will be presented at the boat shows of Paris (December 2016) and Düsseldorf (January 2017).
