Wellcraft Boats, a legendary boating brand for over 65 years, continues its commitment to innovation and excellence. The renowned American boat builder chose the showcase of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, held from October 25 to 29 in Miami, to world premiered three new Wellcraft Fisherman powerboat models, intended to bring a wave of freshness and greater comfort to boat fishing enthusiasts, the main target of this series, as the name itself suggests. The innovations concern in particular the new versions of the 223, 243 and 263 models, which have undergone a thorough and interesting restyling. Moreover, Wellcraft Boats also presented the world premiere of the new 435 model at FLIBS: a much larger and better equipped boat, suitable for long fun trips at sea.
The innovations of the Wellcraft Fisherman series
The most popular feature of the Wellcraft Fisherman is the centrally located helm station: this established strength is what the boat builder has built on to further improve comfort when underway. In fact, Wellcraft Boats has redesigned the Fisherman series to include a new windscreen with an electrically-operated air intake, which provides greater visibility and protection, especially in rough seas, and a new helm to accommodate a larger screen and even more onboard technology. What’s more, the fibreglass T-Top supports have been recessed into the centre console to provide more space around it.
Other interesting upgrades on the new Wellcraft Fisherman models include the cabin, which is now accessible via a side-opening door, and the hardtop, equipped with a built-in accessory compartment. Last nut not least, all buyers will get a one-year pre-paid subscription to SeaNapps to track engine running hours and maintenance needs directly from their smartphone.
Extraordinarily comfortable are the new double, padded and adjustable seats, as well as an additional storage compartment for tools and equipment. All these improvements will make Wellcraft Fisherman boats suitable also for longer excursions in terms of time and distance.
The new Wellcraft 435
The new Wellcraft 435 is part of the “Performance Cruiser” series, especially designed for offshore cruising and well as adventure and lifestyle enthusiasts.
The Wellcraft 435 stands out for its highly responsive controls, located in an ergonomically designed cockpit that promises comfortable offshore experiences even in harsh sea conditions. The on-board instruments have everything you need to go out to sea worry-free.
Wellcraft 435 is the largest model in the Performance Cruiser series, boasting a length of 44 feet (13 metres), and can be equipped with engines of up to 1050 horsepower. The builder’s space configuration is excellent: the helm station, completely enclosed but with opening windows, even offers the possibility of air conditioning and heating, and the fully equipped galley is a perfect space for relaxing or convivial moments. Completing the interior are the two spacious cabins below deck, complete with a bathroom and a separate shower. All these elements, combined with the sturdiness of the hull, make the Wellcraft 435 a gem for any offshore excursion.
