YACHTS SUPPLY, the division established in January 2024 with the goal of providing custom propulsion systems for high-end yachts, continues to grow after an exciting year. The trust placed in the company by numerous shipyards, which have chosen to rely on its expertise and services, has enabled YACHTS SUPPLY to develop a new and innovative system.
The REMOTE PROPULSION CONTROL – RPC 5210, entirely designed by the company, will allow yacht owners and captains to remotely monitor the status of propulsion components and identify any necessary maintenance to enhance overall efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
Despite its young age, YACHTS SUPPLY has already distinguished itself in the field of marine propulsion, successfully completing numerous projects that have addressed and solved various design and customization challenges. More specifically, YACHTS SUPPLY provides components for the most delicate and essential parts of a vessel’s propulsion system, from the shaft line to marine engines, thrusters, and inverters.
The new and innovative REMOTE PROPULSION CONTROL system that YACHTS SUPPLY has already tested on several yachts, is designed to analyze real-time data and execute the following verification protocols:
- Receiving engine data (CAN protocol) and GPS information.
- Communicating with a central database to ensure predictive maintenance and continuous monitoring.
- Providing customers with real-time insights on optimal speed and fuel consumption, improving operational efficiency.
LVM and YACHTS SUPPLY represent a unique combination of experience, innovation, and customer focus. With a decade-long tradition and a forward-looking vision, both companies are committed to providing excellence in the boating sector through a sustainable and technologically advanced approach.
We spoke with Marco De Simone, Sales Director, who shared insights into the goals YACHTS SUPPLY aims to achieve: “Choosing and designing the most efficient propulsion solution for any type of vessel is key. Maximizing hull efficiency and significantly reducing component wear—these are the reasons why we have invested time and resources in this project, which I believe is both revolutionary and innovative. Our new REMOTE PROPULSION CONTROL RPC 5210 is designed to be the best tool a captain or yacht owner can install on board. We believe that selecting the best components is not enough; having real-time monitoring capabilities is equally crucial to avoid unpleasant situations, especially at sea”.
In line with its ongoing commitment to technological innovation and efficiency, the company has entered into a major commercial agreement at the start of the year with TEIGNBRIDGE PROPELLERS, a leader in the design and production of CNC-machined propellers. These propellers can be installed on new vessels or during refitting projects. Superyacht owners demand both high performance and smooth power delivery, ensuring quiet operation under all conditions. With this significant partnership, YACHTS SUPPLY can now offer propellers exceeding 2.5 meters in diameter.
“Regarding onboard handling systems, from tender lifts to hatches, due to the growing demand, we have decided to dedicate an entire division to these projects and developments. This new division, YS LIFT PROJECT, will be launched very soon – added Marco De Simone – We believe that by offering a complete service, the relationship goes beyond that of a simple supplier—it becomes a true partnership. And this is what we stand for: supporting the yacht owner’s choices as a trusted partner”.
