Ok, it’s true. The title seems like a bit of a stretch but ingredients are those we have mentioned.
At the Palm Beach International Boat Show, attracted by Zar Formenti’s stand, we ran into all the players of James Bond’s saga. Or, at least, into the characters and boats representing them.
First of all, Skyfall, a 60-metre superyacht openly inspired by the 2012 movie dealing with the adventures of the most famous agent on her Majesty’s Secret Service.
The owner, whose identity is under wraps, is indeed a big fan of the gentleman spy and, when he decided to invest some millions dollars for his new megayacht, he not only used the Bond movie-inspired name but he also provided it with the same level of luxury than the environments where James Bond deals with international intrigues, faces terrible enemies and loves beautiful women.
Another player is the Zar 65 that the owner has chosen as a tender for his yacht. Clearly, in the sportive elegant style of the Italian rib, the tycoon found the best solution for a megayacht openly inspired by the environment and deeds of the glorified spy.
In addition to her overall length (60 m) and three decks, Skyfall astonishes for the level of luxury she shows off.
The yacht’s exterior styling and entire engineering package is thanks to the in-house team at Trinity Yachts, while the luxurious interior design is the work of Patrick Knowles.
Skyfall has all the amenities you would expect: hot tubs, solarium, swimming pools (for both adults and children), wine cellars and unusual materials, such as petrified tree trunks.
Yesterday, in Palm Beach, we saw both Skyfall and her tender, the Zar Formenti 65, at the amazing stand of the Italian manufacturer that barely hid his satisfaction.
After all, Zar Fomenti is right at home in the States, where it created a capillary network of dealers and where, from Fort Lauderdale to Palm Beach, it doesn’t miss a boat show.
From the large Zar 65 to the small ZF-series tenders, the fleet exhibited in Palm Beach is practically complete.
Someone whispers that the real 007 agent, Daniel Craig, was seen hanging around. Of course, it’s not true…. maybe.
What is certain is that Craig, as well as the production of the next Bond movie, might gain the availability of Skyfall, for some weeks at least. The superyacht is, in fact, available for charter. At what price? Luxury Yacht charter companies will be certainly available to unveil it. We’re talking about six figures, of course.
