Zar Formenti joined the Genoa Boat Show with 22 models, including the 95 SL with some novelties
It was a real Zar invasion what was staged on the ground floor of
For the 60th Genoa International Boat Show, the Italian shipyard decided to “dress” its flagship with a very formal dress, choosing an elegant black livery with red leather cushions and a fiberglass Hard-Top supported by two shiny steel poles.
But the innovations of the Zar 95 SL do not end here and we seized the opportunity to see them first-hand as soon as the technical project manager Luca Formenti offered to accompany us on board, showing us all the details of this inflatable boat with a sporty and luxury soul, as suggested by the acronym itself.
The outdoor galley, equipped with a hob, a sink, a fridge and positioned behind the double pilot seat, completes a truly comfortable dinette which, when necessary, is equally well-sheltered from the sun. Yes, because an electric telescopic bimini top extends over two meters from the Hard-Top – and this is another novelty – covering the whole cockpit up to the stern platforms. The Hard-Top also hides six spotligths that emit a white-and-blue light at night.
An indelible feature of the Zar 95 SL is the decentralised position of the steering console on the starboard side, which allows passengers to use a large side-deck on the port side in total safety.
Trasformism continues in the bow: by lifting the bench and its trapezoid cushion, the super sundeck unexpectedly becomes a large U-shaped sofa. Furthermore, the two headrests arranged on the deckhouse tilt to allow passengers to lie down and sunbathe in an even more comfortable and relaxing way.
The Zar 95 SL offers a good comfort level even on the lower deck, where the sleeping zone, accessible from the companionway positioned on the right of the console, consists of a wide and spacious master cabin and a separate bathroom.
The interior layout is minimal yet elegant, worthy of a classy day-cruiser.
Exterior lines are designed for a fast and sporty navigation, comfortable and pleasant at the same time.
The deep V-hull features a very advanced stempost and two lateral support tunnels that allow the entire boat to rise above the water as the speed increases, while maintaining stability and therefore safety on board.
As for propulsion, the owner can opt for two 350HP outboards or a more powerful 700HP solution, capable of delivering a top speed of 54 knots. In conclusion, the new Zar 95SL is a concentrate of elegance, power, fun and comfort. A Maxi Rib with capital “M” and “R”.
